Grail is a progressive rock musical set in the near future. It is modern and highly visual with a science fiction feel but tells a story with a universal them...the search for the self. The Grail is not the historic holy Grail of legend...it is a magic crystal. The story takes place in Citiworld (a controlled environment under glass) and the Outerworld (the polluted areas outside). Air quality has been so contaminated that the elite live in Citiworld while the struggling revolutionaries live outside. Grail follows one man's journey to heal the past and recapture the wonder of childhood, when anything is possible and dreams can come true

THE MYTH

According to legend, we all enter the Grail Castle once, usually when we are very young. Once inside, we feel the power of the Grail and know that all our dreams can come true. But inside the castle is a wounded King. We are told that if we ask the right question, the King and his people will be healed. But we are young and foolish and have been taught not to ask questions. So we are silent. The castle disappears and we are alone. But we have had a taste of higher consciousness. We have experienced the mystery of life and we cannot forget it. To find it again, we must take a difficult journey and learn the lesson of compassion. Then the castle will reappear and we will know the question to ask. Then, we will understand the true meaning of the Grail.
